Default Transmission Temps

What is normal operating temperature for the Tranny?

Mine is like 130 (I think) around town. Is that okay?

I am going to double check tomo.

i think i read something a little while back saying that normal trans temp should be like 80* above ambient air temp. so if its 50* outside where you are at, then you should be golden.

i think its 40* above under normal driving and then 80* when towing but im not a 100% on that...

Based on Hammer's chart, it looks like 80 degrees above air temp would be normal. I have been monitoring mine with the AI and it is usually between 110 and 130.

40-60* above outside air temp under normal driving, 60-80* above when towing is considered to be "normal" transmission operating temperatures.
