Default Parking brake shoes... changed!

Some of you may remember from awhile back I was biching that I knocked the parking brake shoe off when i was changing rear brakes.. and i wanted my parking brake for when i pull the boat
so yesterday i finally went about changing them. the manual said i had to pull the axel shafts out! I was able to jimmy them out without pulling the shafts, just had to be creative with some screwdrivers and a needle nose plyers. and A LOT of cussing! my mom actually came out and asked me what was going on i was cussing so loud i dont even remember how many times i almost had it and then the screwdriver would slip off of the spring and zing... there it goes

anyway, they work now (i think.. have to test yet) so i'm happy. just thought i would get a thread out there since i couldnt find any info... so if someone else has to change theirs they know they dont have to pull the shafts. BUT, for someone to find this they would actually have to use the search function .... (and we know how that goes)
total cost was $70!

to test them push your parking brake in then put the truck in drive and see if the brake holds to at least 1200 rpm's or the tire drags.

i did that, she holds easily to 1200... i'm not sure and they dont seem to drag either... they turned slowly with the rear end jacked up and the tires off. i'm not sure if both sides are even yet...
