a/t drain plug anyone?

Default a/t drain plug anyone?

has anyone tried this plug? i'm just about do for a/t service, and want to do it myself. i thought this might save me some grief the next time around.

yeah several guys have them, but i dont think thats the kind you want. when you open the drain, all of the fluid will come out except the depth of that bolt on the inside. you'd be leaving about 1/2 qt of fluid (about 1/4" deep) in the pan even when it stopped dripping.

If I got that kit, i'd get it welded on so you dont have the nut on the inside.

i had that on my old tranny pan, worked good for me. it does leave a little bit of fluid in the pan, but it still makes it way easier to change the fluid.
