Default Solution to the Heater/Blend Door Problems

I too had a problem with the heater/blend door on my '06 quad cab 4wd. The dodge dealer ended up doing the proper repair by removing the dash and replacing the unit at a cost of 770.00 bucks. After doing my research on here and carcomplaints.com , I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I used the multiple sites to reference the problems that people were having with the blend doors and heaters in their Dodge trucks. Since our local Dodge Dealer is a AAA member of the BBB, they reimbursed me 1/2 of the 770.00 bucks for the repair. I have saved a copy of the BBB letter and the response from the dealer saying that it is a "company issue, not a dealer issue", but they would reimburse me out of good faith. I highly recommend that members use the BBB to file complaints about the heaters/blend doors in an effort to get Chrylser to issue a recall on them. The dealer did tell me on the phone that they are aware of the problem, they just won't do anything about it......Google the problem, copy and paste the sites into your BBB complaint and then send it in. The worst they can do is say no....Good luck.

Nope, the file is too big to post on here. If anyone would like to see the entire complaint form with the resolution, let me know and I'll email it to you. Sorry...
