I absolutely agree... even on a 03 I think it is worth the money.

Well, you figure out where you want to buy it from. Call them up and tell them what you want. Give them you credit card number and have them send it to your house. Actually pretty simple, a lot like buying the other stuff you've bought. I have the SC3865 and would buy it again.

I don't have a Hypertech but I am positive the answer is "no".

The DSP is nice, specially on the 05-06 trucks as it has all the trans features (well now that they have fixed all the issues with their latest release). Performance wise, betwee the superchips and DSP on their base tunes, the DSP is pulling harder now than what the SC did, with the old release it was about on par with SC, and MPG is about 1.5mpg better on the DSP 91 tune vs the SC 91 tune. Now if you start adding more performance stuff, the DSP really shines as it has more advanced tuning features that the SC and has the ability to store a custom tune which the SC unforunately does not. Both are very well made though and give great results.

I have 4.10 rears now, and run 285/70/17 tires(33 inches, almost 2 over stock)
and on hills its a dog, unless I run it at 5,000 rpm to get over a hill , and then my gas mph drops like crazy
the biggest problem seems to be at about 1850 rpm to about 2100, just doesn't seem to be any pull power there, which is rpm for normal cruising speed of about 75mph
I hit a hill at 75, about say 1900 rpm, and it will not down shift till I srop about 10+ mph's, then it will rev like crazy, and pending on the steep of the hill , either get me back up, or not!

I live in hilly country, highways are full of up's and downs, this truck will not say on cruise at 75, without major down shifts and huge rpm gains, and even then it still struggles to maintain.
when I run down to Ohio to hunt, pulling a small LIGHT trailer and a quad, this truck will not make it over the big hills ,or should I say maintain speed on a hill!
IF I hit them at 75, it will drop to about 55 , pulling 5500+ rpm's, and never get me back to 75 till I top the hill!( my old 5.9 didn't do this, and this is my second hemi with this issue!)

and averages about 8.5 mph when towing about 1600 lbs total trailer+atv!
just sucks
wouldn't mind the crappy gas mph, if it didn't strugle so much on the hills, I loose a lot of time driving cause of this( its 8.5+ hr trip down there for me, and all the slow downs on the hills ain't helping!, plus running the truck at them high rpm's cannot be good for long term life!)

I don't tow enough to justify a , or have the extra cash for that motor!

so looking to try to solve this trucks down fall!

I been thinking about heads( as in my other post) since this truck tick a ton louder, now it has 72,000miles on it
so was thinking if I had to open it up, may as well upgrade
but wow, heads for this truck are not as cheap as I was hoping
maybe just trade it in!
just don't know on what!
think another hemi will just be the same
and I don't like fords or chevy's
and need a 3/4 ton truck!

so i am kinda stuck!!
either anti up the money to build up this, or buy a diesel, I guess!

thats why I was wondering about these chips, never really used any( last one was in a 1990 project chevy blazer, I did mud bogs with!)
so as you can see outdated on them!!
