Default New Truck, some issues

I am new here and I am new to Dodge Trucks, this is my first 4X4. When I took it out on the Interstate for it's first trip, all was good until I hit a bump in the road, not real bad, but bad enough. The truck started shaking so bad I had to put the brakes on and slow down quite a bit to get it to stop. This happened three other times. Now I find out there was a recall for the steering on the 03 Ram's that was not corrected on my truck. It is going to the dealer Monday for that, but will fixing the recall with the steering correct this problem or am I looking at new shocks? That is the only other thing I can think of to make the truck do this.
I really like this truck and I want to make sure this corrects this. It would seem to me that this has come up before so if any of you fellow Ram owners can help me out, it would be appreciated.

If your truck was wobbling from side to side and not up and down i doubt you'll need new shocks. Id definetly have your tie rods checked though

Thanks for the info, it was a help to do the death wobble search. Guess I will wait till Monday and see what happens with the recall at the dealer. Thanks for the welcome also, I have found plenty of good info so far.

Well, the dealer did the recall check on the steering, I don't think they changed anything, at least from what I looked at. I did set the air pressure in all the tires to 60 psi and it seems to do better.
