2002 Ram R- Turn signal issue....
Ok probably super easy fix but i suck at trouble shooting. Here is the background, I just installed Aftermarket projector headlights, the installation was easy, My drivers side is perfect, my Passenger side is a bit different, All my lights work including my turn signal lights up but when i use my right blinker it just stays lit my taillight blinks fast, and my dashboard lights up and says "lamp out" Anyone know what it could be, Im thinking ground wire but where would i need to check? Appreciate the responses and expertise!!
Could be a bad bulb or it could be the circuit board that your bulbs plug in to. The circuit boards are notorious for going bad and they only cost $20 from the dealer. I know, something from the dealer is only $20. I had a problem with my driver's side signals and when I took it apart, one of the sockets was rusted. It's a 10 minute change.
Maybe this might narrow it down a bit, Everytime i tur the truck off (no power/ key out of the ignition) and turn the truck back on the "Lamp out" light/ indicator goes out.... And then as soon as i use my right blinker my truck beeps at me and displays the "lamp out" again. My Left side works fine. I figured I hit something or unscrewed something during the install of the Proj. headlights but it was so easy, just unplug and re plug into the new assembly.
im sure you have but you might want to go out and go thru the installation process again and re-check all your connections so youre sure it wasnt an installation oops. sorry i dont have anything better
