When I took mine off I had the same issue as you. I lined it up the best I could. I may throw a silicone bead across the top, but I havent had any water problems as of yet...and it rains here constantly.

Looks real nice. One of my more favorite style of grills.
For the bolts sticking out..one the backside? That is why I love my dremel. Stick a cutter attachement on there and grind them away. Maybe you can do the same?

I like the smoked look better than the eyelids myself. Lightly though cuz it'll defeat lighting pruposes.

Naw breaking the seal wont hurt. I just ran some foam tape across the back of the grille. I take mine off so much, silicone wouldnt have worked right.

Looks good though, Id buy one in a hurry if they were a bit cheaper

And then I also got some rumblebee/GTX taillights from a member here. They were yellow so I just painted them black to match. I'll be running with these until I get some LEDs. I'm going for the black out look like you. Also got the grill painted black. I'll eventually get the wheels painted too. Would love to powdercoat but then I gotta remove the treads, paint, remount, and not have a truck to drive around with for a week or so. Might just do Teach's wheel paint DIY.
