Hello, new to the site and loving it so far. I have a question....

I just purchased a wrecked 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 and it needs the front of the frame replaced. I have the service manual on the truck and it shows in there how to splice the frame together with a new front frame rail tip. My question is, has anyone done this? Can I purchase this replacement tip from Dodge? Has anyone ever priced one out? Just wondering how expensive that would cost from the dealer or if I should get a frame tip from a junk yard.

Talked to the dealer today and they said the frame and any frame parts are discontinued for the 2003-2006 Dodges. What the hell!

 

Guess you will need to take a trip to the old junk yard.
