whats up everyone i have a 2007 dodge ram 5.7 hemi with MDS. i want to put a cat-back exhaust on it or a muffler. i dont want it to affect the MDS. will this affect it? I am leaning more towards putting a flowmaster muffler on it beacause it was cheaper. JUST the muffler on the stock exhaust. will this affect the MDS??? i want to buy one this week so any help would be great. thanks!

 

also i have heard that the MDS makes an exhaust sound like crap. any help would be appreiciated thanks

 

I have the fm model 50 series cat back was well worth the 400$ at www.autowarehouse.com It does nothing too the mds don't know why you would think that My system gave me the choice of straight back or side dump pictures on this page 3rd gen pictures btw. Good luck with the mod I would replace all the stock piping from the cat back. imo
btw press the edit icon too post again, the mods, frown upon back too back posts from the same author they call it bumping so don't bump i guess

 

They don't afect the mds in any way, a after market exhaust does come with a droan when the mds kicks in, I had a flowmaster 40 series and it sounded good but I changed to magnaflow for less cab noise, the magnaflow is quieter but still sounds nice when you get on the gas.
