Default Does anyone know where to get the valve keepers for the 5.7 valves?

I have all of the parts for my cam install ready, just need to get a few spare keepers (or as they call them at the dealerships, valve locks). The problem that I have run into is that no dealer around here has them and no one will order them for me either. Some of the parts guys I have talked to don’t even know what I am talking about and the ones who do have all said something about it being cost prohibitive to have such a small inexpensive part shipped to them from another dealer. I have tried searching the internet without luck, seems like no one carries them. Just looking to get a few so when I drop one, and I know I will drop one, that I have a few spares on hand so the install can keep moving forward. Has anyone had any luck finding this part online anywhere? If so, can you post up a link to where you got them?

You'd think the dealer would atleast offer to get them if you paid for shipping. What a bunch of d*cks.
P4529218 for Mopar part number on 8mm valve stems. Look HERE They do say for 5.9L, but I believe they are the same for all the v8's reallly granted the Hemi runs an 8mm stem?. Not 100% on that though, but maybe you can call up a dealership and give them the part number??

Thanks for the part number, that might make it easier to find them. That price is why no dealer will order me just a few, it is not worth it to them.

There is no way I would try the install without spares bc if I did I know I would be starting a much more urgent thread about finding spares

You could always call Stu or Marty or even someone here on the board who may have stripped down thier heads.

That is a good idea weed. I bet there is at least one guy on lx that would have them from a stripped head. Never even thought of that. I will have to post a wanted ad over there when I get home and see what happens.
