if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. first off i posted a thread a little while back about my 02 3.7 that was cutting out on me. i finally figure it out to be a o2 sensor. but anyways now i have a different problem i was driving it the other day and the check engine light came back. now this was 2 days after i finally fixed it and reset the engine light. i go to plug my code reader in and the plug is dead. i tried another reader and same issuse would not reconize that it was plugged in. this truck is driving me crazy its been sitting more than its been driving the last year. and now i noticed because my radio stopped working that nothing works unless the key is on. the hazards,headlights,interior lights, door ajar buzzer nothing. im getting ready to give up on this truck. can anyone help me????? im going crazy i tried redoing all the grounds and it didnt help a thing

 

Have you checked all your fuses? You can also try the key trick to see if it will display a code on your odometer, w/ the engine off turn the key to Run, Off, Run, Off, Run all within 5 seconds and the odometer will show a code or "done" if there is no code. Don't start the engine just go from the run position which is where the key is when the truck is running to off and back and forth.

 

i had the same problem. i found 5 broken wires under the fuse block. it wasnt easy to find the bad wires. i had pin holes in the wire insulation. where the holes were the wire was green and broke.

 

ok ill do both of those i did check the fuses and didnt find anything. i will try that key trick and also check the wires. it was just so discouraging i put the new o2 in the truck was running great drove it all weekend and then sunday night the light came back on and then i cant read the code i was heated let me tell you!! but thanks for the suggestions ill try them and update everyone to.
