alright guys i got a sport bumper cover last week and sent it out for paint. Now i went and looked at it today and found a run an something else i didnt like. This is a bumper cover like u would get from LMC, so another thig i notice is there were like mold injection leftovers in a few spots and at te very side of it were it would bolt to the edge of the bumper there is a line that go's from the top to the bottom. which i dont think should be there.

Now my question is am i in the wrong thinking that before they painted it the should have sanded that line down and removed the access material? Im paying 200 can for it to be painted but i would asume that the stuff should have been removed and that i will make them do it before i pick it up. So does this mean that they will have to sand those lines down and re paint the whole thing?

thanks guys any input will help

What was the agreement when you took it in? To paint or to finish it first then paint it? Sounds like they decided to just paint it.

did you notice them before they painted it? and if it were my shop i probably would have done the sanding first and then painted just to be professional but you never know when you go to shops like that. if you didnt say anything about it before hand they might charge you the labor but i dont know about having to pay to re-paint it. they might be able to get away with just doing the problem areas again...

the line is like what i drew.. and it is a hard line with extra material not smooth

now i just dropped the bumper off all wraped up like when i got it. I told them it was one from lmc and wanted it painted.... now to me that should have ment for them to atleast take off the access material. But if they needed to body work it then i would asume that would cost extra. but it looks like **** with the marks. like dont u think that a shop should make it look good or if there were things like that contact me and ask about it?

you would think so, but a lot of shops dont go over and above to please their clients... it all depends on the relationship you have with the guy, or gal. but call them up and see what you can work out to make it right or you will stop doing business with these guys and let the word spread about the kind of service they provide, or dont provide for that matter.
