Default Dodge Ram 1500 Brake Controller

My 2005 RAM 1500 has the trailer tow package but didn't have the brake controller. I was wondering if dodge had a factory OEM Brake Controller that goes in my dash. Like the 2500's did. I wish not to mount a controller underneath the dash. Does anyone knows of the part numbers or if this can even be done?

When I bought my 1500 new in 2000, it came with the part that hooks to the dash. All I had to do was wire the controller to the "plug they gave me. It was kind of like getting that adapter plug for an aftermarket stereo to plug into the existing wires in the dash. Dodge should have one.

Any OEM brake controller is gonna cost an arm and a leg for a basic controller.

I opted to buy the Tekonsha P3 which detects motion and applies the trailer brakes according to how hard you are stopping. OEM controllers amongst many other cheaper controllers apply the same amount of voltage to the trailer brakes whether you are at 20mph and just touching your brakes or going 65mph and slamming on your brakes. That causes excessive wear on both the truck and trailer not to mention you cannot stop near as fast because there's a "happy medium" if there's such a thing you need to set the voltage so your not screeching the tires or when they are not applied enough.
P3 is variable and is the best on the market IMO
I have mine mounted under the steering wheel:

how did you go about wiring it from the controller to the plug on the back the truck, I bought the 4 flat to 7 round adapter, i'm not sure if one of the extra wires coming out the back if for the brake or not. Do all dodge trucks have the plug under the dash to attach a controller or is it just some models?
