Default Lost Power?

Hello everyone,

I was woundering if maybe someone had any suggestions about regaining lost power. A few summers ago I tested out my 0-60 and what i remember most is my tires chirped everytime the engine shifted (its an auto). It has 76000 miles on it.

Last summer i noticed significant power loss so i cleaned my TB and changed my spark plugs and noticed a lot of my power loss come back. Its still not quite there, so is there any suggestions on things i should/need to do to it?

well since you said TB clean thats out of the way . plugs , wires , filters air and fuel . tire preasure could have been different . outside conditions could also be different .

is it that big of a difference?

My truck has Monster exhaust/volant CAI and SC tuner. Last summer... i could barely pull past my dads stock excursion. After cleaning the TB and replacing my plugs my truck was back to doing 0 - 60 in the high 6's so that was much better. I make sure I clean my filter every few months or so. In Alaska the higest grade fuel is 90 octane which sucks. But thats all ive been using for several years now. So if I can replace my wires and double check my preasure it sounds like i should be set.

i'll give that a try today. Thanks for the advice. Im a strong believer in replacing parts with better parts. Are there any spark plugs better then others?
