After scouring the internet for a good answer I am coming here (where I should have started) to ask for help.

I have an '02 Ram 1500 5.9L w 110K on it. I have a squeak that starts as soon as the vehicle starts moving and increases frequency as I accelerate. At full speed it becomes a high pitched whistle. I am thinking wheel bearings but wanted to know if anyone else had any other ideas. I don't really have the time to do extensive repairs myself but I have been burned by my dealership and local shops too many times and I want to be able to tell them where to look.

I would be able to take on some basic fixes. If you have some input, don't be afraid to get detailed and teach me something. Thanks for the help.
