Arrow Catch Cans

Just wondering has anybody installed a Catch Can to their Hemi? Is there any really big benefits to this mod? Is it worth the money?

Thumbs up

the build up on ur throttle body can be somewhat prevented with a catch can. this is the visible damage that can be stopped. a catch can is a good addition to all newer vehicles however buying one isn't the best option. you can make one for less than $20. i have one on my truck and it pulls a significant amount of oil out of the system. also if you are running a custom tune a catch can is recommended in all cases.

later on!

how did you make one? is it just a piece of filter material in there that will let air flow and stop the oil and it will drip to the bottom of the can or change the filter piece?

I would like to see how one is made with the filtering media inside.

You can find used ones on the LX board from time to time as they do use them. I just missed one as I have been looking for one for some time now. There are a few guys running them on DT and HTC though.

It's better to use baffles than filter media.

Yea but if i use this type of air filter compressor as a catch can http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...1&marketID=403

I dont think the oil will be able to escape and if i drain it like every week or 2.

^^ That's the same one I used for my mustang. I turned it backwards and plugged the bottom hole. The plastic just unscrews from the top portion to allow you to dump the oil back in the crankcase.
When I did mine, it ended up costing about $30 all said and done after purchasing the fitttings and hose.
