washed my truck today, thankfully no issues to report, my truck is running awsome. but I noticed a hell of a lot of rust on the frame (booth sides rear wheal wells ) Lately I have not been washing my truck, each time I do, I obsrve a new scratch, how common is rust on frames on the 3rd gen RaM?

TRuck is close to four years old. 95,000 km, black rust paint on a wire brush to the rescue.

 

extremely common, especially where you are if they use salt on the roads during winter. you got the right idea though... wire brush to knock off the surface rust, then rust repair paint.

 

Pick up a bottle of Ospho and use a sponge brush or spray bottle. DO NOT breathe it in. It is by far the best rust killer I have ever used. My dad got me using it after explaining how they use it on the base where he works for all of the heavy equipment before they ship it out.

 

yep works great been using it for a couple of years on my 49 but weed is right you do not want to breath it in and you want good ventilation and wear rubber gloves
