hey guys im looking at this single cab 03 1500 with the 5.9 and 4x4 slt. the lot is asking 13's for it so i figure it could get it for 12 or 11 and yeah I know thats high but it does only have 40,000 miles on it. whats your alls thoughts. also is anyone finds any god deals near me I totally love that cause it seems like around me trucks are so high. Im in KY but ill drive to ohio or indiana, tenn, things like that. thanks

 

that 5.9 is a stout motor. has some great potential for power and long life. just dont expect to get anything close to decent gas mileage. i got my truck with around 50k miles on it, lot was asking $14,999. and thats for a 2500. good thing i know the owner of the lot. got it for 8 grand out the door.

 

thats a good deal . 5.9 is a great engine and that has low miles id hop on that real quick

heres a link if you all want to look and give opinions. it has had 3 owners but the first bought it brand new and had it for 6 years and only put 30,000 miles on it weird right. then a lot bought it, then another person bought it from them and drove it for like a year and traded it in on a hhr for my room. atleast thats what the dealer said about the carfax over the phone.

looks clean to me . that many miles and that many owners ??? get the owners phone numbers and give them a call get info the dealer wont tell you .

 

Not a bad looking truck at all. You could probably squeeze them down a little on the price. The nice thing about the 5.9 is that you can pull a lot of power out of it with the right mods.

 

yea i was going to call them and ask them but I just havent decided what im going to do yet. I have an 03 lincoln ls that im trading in and dads not really happy about trading an 03 for an 03 and still having a $5000 loan. hed kinda like me to get into a 05 or so but you cant get a 4x4 with low miles with that for 11 or 12. im looking for truck around 11 all said and done out the door. what you think i should be looking for. once again i dont really care about motor because i dont tow and dont care about quad cab because quad cabs are big trucks to drive around to college and stuff, I just want 4x4 and good miles atleast under 90,000.

 

there out there just have to look . but that truck is a good deal

 

picked mine up for 11,900 here in southeast missouri with 79,xxx miles 5.9 quad.. sounds a lil steep for a single cab..
