just did mine in my 07 QC this weekend. drivers side, theres a rubber grommet with a metal rod through it. i just took the grommet out of the firewall, still around the rod, and cut a bit of the rubber out on the edge so the power wire can run through it. as for the ground, theres many places. where are you mounting your amp? i just put mine under the drivers seat for easy access, and its a small amp so its not even noticable, and theres a hole in the carpet already for all the wires to run through. i just put the ground cable through the carpet hole, sanded down a spot on the body under the carpet on the front drivers' side (where the floor mat is) so all the paint was off and just metal showing and drilled a small hole for a screw. took 10 minutes and its a perfect ground. another easy thing is seatbelt bolts or seat bolts. my only problem was the ring at the end of my wire wasnt big enough so the large bolts used for the seatbelts/seats wouldnt fit through it. if your mounting the amp behind the back seats, find a seatbelt/ seat bolt, sand the paint off and use that. what size subs and what box do you have?

if you want a picture of where i went through the firewall, i can go take one, just tell me

Inboard of the brake booster is a six-sided plastic plate. It's where the clutch linkage would run. Very easy to drill holes through. You can run anything through it. All my wiring runs into the cab this way.
