hey blk05hemi i just went to one of the local tire shops yesterday to have the 305/50r20s put on my one of my trucks and the tire shop said they wouldnt do it unless i put a wheel spacer on it because it will rub the upper control arm. are you running any spacers and are you having any kind of rubbing issuses. i want to put them on a 2008 1500 4x4.

Your truck is gonna look badass anyway you go man
Great pic, really shows off these LTZs...can't wait to get mine! See...looks good level whether its brought down or raised up and for your situation you got the right size tire looks great. I got 305/50s now and yeah I love the look too, but I think it will look too small heightwise once I bring my truck up. By the way did you spray your door handles yourself or had it done somewhere? Been thinkin about doin this for some time now. If you had it done what did it cost you?

I did the door handles myself and it cost about $100 dollars to buy the paint and materials like sandpaper. I plan on redoing them this summer due to the insides of the handles chipping, and ill also be doing my mirrors as well. I will be buying all of my products from oreily auto parts and i plan on using duplicolor this time. I will be going with 4 cans of adhesive promoter 4 cans of basecoat and 4 cans of clear coat. This time i will take the door handles completly apart so i can sand every last inch of them and get adhesive promoter everywhere that needs it. Painting isnt hard just remember to prep prep prep

Now I've done it. Thanks to Blk05HEMIs sick ride I started checking out the 2" rear drop shackles and...I want to go low now. Looks like I could probably do the install myself (just need to get jackstands) and even better, now can get the 305/50r20s! Decisions decisions but can't go wrong either way. Any tips I can get about installing the drop shackles...I'm all ears.

Sounds good !!!

i did my shackles in my driveway with 1 jack, 2 jackstands, and a wooden block of destiny! I jacked the axle up on to the stands then lifted the rear of the truck under the tow hitch jack/block combo. It took me and a friend about an hour. Its pretty easy to do good luck
If you need any help feel free to stop by the lowerd truck thread at the top of the page. Lots of great guys up there to help out!

"wooden block of destiny"...there must be a story there somewhere. Is this to provide a stable platform with which to rest my beers while I am under my truck LOL? Been checking out that thread too and it seems like most of you all are gettin the McGaughys 2" drop shackles so I figure I'll put in an order today or tomorrow. Man, this is gonna save me some more $$ too...I think I hear a stereo upgrade coming!
