Unhappy CD Changer Quit working

I recently cleaned the battery posts on my 2004 Ram 3500 diesel. When I reconnected the battery and turned the ignition key on, the cd changer started making a bunch on noise, like it was trying to change or eject cd’s. After about 20 seconds it stopped and the six numbers which displayed the six cd’s in the player went blank and the cd player quit working. I still can use the radio. Help! Is my cd player dead or is there something I can do to get it working again? Thanks.
