Cool I have returned with new truck and new questions.

Hey I now am the proud owner of a outstanding 2005 Ram 1500! Hemi, duals and a 4 inch lift. NIce.
My old 2001 truck was totalled on 1/29/10. Was hit head on by a Grand Jeep Cherokee in a blind turn. Worst wreck ever. Their Jeep caught fire!!! My whole family was hurt but I managed to get out of my truck and pull both the other people out of their vehicle, passenger was completely knocked out, 2 minutes after pulling them out their jeep was totally engulfed in flames. God was watching over us that night! Good to be back on the forum!! I will update my stats soon.

One question I have is the truck I have now has exhaust manifold heat shields. Both of the shields has one side broken just hanging there. Do I need these or can I just take them off?

Cool

10 4 sounds like I need to keep them. Do I have to go to the stealership to get some new ones or can I get them somewhere else.

You could probly use header wrap but personally i wouldnt. If any moisture was to get in there im sure it would eventually ruin the manifold

At the same time you could put a WTB in the classifieds for some. I took mine off when i put on my headers but Im sure I threw them away. No one really asks for them

53032208AH is the P/N for the heat sheilds

First off, glad to hear you got out of that wreck.

I might have a heat shield from when I took my manifolds off. If you want me to take a look, I will see what I have the next time I am over at the garage.

You know you could just use this as an excuse to get LT's or even just shorty's? Idk thought I'd throw that idea out there.
