Threw a Code
Hey everybody,
I cleaned my throttle body this afternoon and when I put everything back together I forgot to put plug my IAT sensor back in. So naturally it throws a code at me. (P0113 - IAT sensor, voltage too high.)
I've got it plugged back in, but will I need a programmer to clear the code or will it clear itself?
Thanks

I know from experience if you cut the IAT wire while installing an IAT mod without disconnecting the battery it will throw a voltage code. If you don't have a programmer to erase the code then just unplug your battery for five minutes and reconnect. Don't panic if truck don't start first turn of the key as it will for sure on the second try and your check engine light should no longer be illuminated. Some guys on here say you should also reset your Throttle Body Position sensor too if you've unplugged and moved the TB plate back and forth during cleaning. I have never done that reset after removal but will try it next time as it cannot hurt (turn key on and when lights go out slowly depress gas pedal to the floor and then slowly let it back up and your done).
