cmon man you know how many people have done this and not to mention the amount of dirt rocks and lumber that people haul around in 1500? thats just a dumb comment....if it looks as if its gonna hurt something when you fill it half way then stop drop the gate and done...all thats wasted is a lil water....your only gonna need maybe half any way with 6 people in it....

A 6 1/2' bed will hold roughly 3,000# of water. Only about 3x overload. Go for it!

well if you are not planning on driving it out of the yard(which I dont recommend) then just put the back end of your truck on jack stands and let them hold the weight not your suspension, or go to wm and buy a 50 dollar pool and leave the truck out of this!!

base payload is 1830 and towing is 3000...http://www.acarplace.com/reviews/2005/ram-hemi.html about 5/8 way down the page has alot of info ...my bad even at half full you would be pushing about 4klbs....which really doesnt seem like my math is adding up...i mean think about a truck full of gravel it just sags a lil....

well i would just be pulling it up by my garage and having a party outside but i guess i will hold off on doing this if its gonna screw it up. thanks for the info guys

others have done it, but 6-8 people alone is close to max weight plus water!! I sure would not drive it!!!
