the search is a useful thing but they are products out that can help for example cold air intake, a programmer and a new cat back exhaust. but installing those wont make your mileage jump it'll just increase it a little bit not much

the best advice i can give is glue some thumbtacks to the gas pedal and drive barefoot.

Why are you looking for better mpgs? To save money, or to brag about good gas mileage? If you want to brag about good gas mileage, it aint gonna happen in a big truck. If you want to save money, it will take years for any gas saving mods to pay themselves off.

The 3 cheapest mods I can think of would be an electric fan, a homemade CAI (realllly easy to do actually and gets just as good of gains as the $300 ones), and finally just a muffler (not the whole exhaust system). It'll give you better flow (depending on what you go with) and sound better too.

e-fan can be done for under $100, homebrew CAI is about $50, and muffler would be about $100 installed. So for $250 you're gonna save about 2 mpg, bumping you to about 20 mpg. At $3 per gallon, it would take about 1700 miles to pay them off (plus you'd have about 30 more hp at the crank, roughly 10 to the wheels)
