CAI Installed (pics inside)
I picked up the Boomz Racing CAI for my truck after DF member jusjay727 recomended it. Though the kit said it was only for the 03-04 Ram HEMI, it installed with little issues. There were no instructions shipped with the kit, so I just had to wing it. About 4 hours total, and that includes extending sensor wires. I also installed my ported TB at the same time.
Here is the filter end

Here's the intake tube

If you notice on the right side near the TB, you will see a little inlet tube. I wasn't sure what this was supposed to be for. At first I thought it might be for the oil breather, but then thinking about it, I wasn't sure that I'd want the oil breather that close to the TB. Also, there is a hole in the heat shield for what looks like the breather tube to go into.
Here's my solution for plugging up the extra tube.

BIG pile of stock parts

Here's what a stock TB looks like with 65K on it.

All-in-all, a pretty fun project to occupy my Easter Sunday with. My impressions so far are promising. The throttle response is greatly improved, and once you hit 4K RPM's you can really feel the difference.
If anyone else is interested, you can find the kit I purchased here

It says for 03-04, but I installed this kit on my 05 without issue. I don't think you can do much better for $72.25 for the complete kit!!
Special thanks to Jay for recomending this kit. The cash I saved over a big name kit, will go far toward other mods.

Very nice. For the plug... I hope that's not a live round? I think I see hammer contact?..so that's a good sign
I believe that is what the diff. is with the years, your inlet pipe block because I don't have anything but the IAT sensor in mine.

Nice Job, BTW the blocked off tube is for small hose that runs from the Hemi Hat to the oil cap on the 03 model (3 inch long and $25 bucks at the dealer). I tried a dual Bombz and found zero difference so went back to stock set-up. With all do respect though "Wow" how does a TB get that dirty. The new ported one sounds like a noticable mod difference (I like 4k and up) and I have been thinking about getting one but CAI and new hood is ahead on the wishing list. Good pics man.
For the time being, I'm just going to hang onto the stock parts, just in case...
