Default Need to remove ashtray..help

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to remove the ashtray (the whole assembly) without taking the dash apart?

I use it for coins and some fell back behind it and now the ashtray wont stay shut. I can hear them rattling around back behind there. thanks

If you pull out the inner tray by the cigarette holder Tab you should be able to see in and retreive the coins (magnet) or with the tray open stick your hand in behind from under the dash and there is a small ledge there. If not the astray area I beleive only has a few phillip screws holding it in along with a few snap tabs. Worst case you will have to remove the lower portion that includes the cup holder assy.

The ashtray is a two part plastic unit. The first part, the ashtray it self will come up with some gentle persuasion of opening it fully and pulling up and out. The part that holds the ashtray comes out fairly easily as well.

I have had to do the same as the change will fall behind and jam it up from closing.

Just pull out and down on it and it will come out. Very easy to remove.

i think mine may be a little different. i was able to pop the front cover off and wangle a screwdriver back in there underneath the remaining plastic tray and work the coins out. thanks for all the replies.
