Default Body Lift Bumper Brackets

First off my truck is an 04 so the Zone Lift isnt an option.. I fair amount of people have been complaining about how you have to hack up the bumper brackets for the PA body lift.. I was wondering if I could have my neighbor who is a machinist, fabricate brackets so I didnt have to hack the stock ones up.. Anybody else in here done/tried this before???

you dont hack the brackets, you hack what the brackets mount too, which are welded to the truck. you hack that, and you hack the bumper. neither of which a machinist could fab haha. sorry to say it but it is a royal pain in the ***.

Too many sissies crying about doing a little work on their truck. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Its not that hard it just takes time. We started Friday night probably 5ish until 9 and then finished it Saturday on mine. We had to have a buddy fab a few parts as I bought a used kit that was missing the crush blocks.

I got to agree with Frog on this one. As many people that has already done a PA lift it should be well known that this is part of the deal before you even start. If you don't like the idea then you shouldn't do a PA Lift imo.

And BTW you do cut the bumper bracket and the bottom part of the frame rails, not the bumper itself.

Personally i have no problem working on my truck, and i installed my body lift myself. But knowing that all they had to do was redesign the front bumper bracket, which they didnt want to do to save money, was annoying in my mind.
