Bilstein 5100 lift
you are correct sir, except for 1 thing, the pita. these are really not that hard to install.
the way the bilstein 5100 serious works is a little like this. the strut sits inside the strut spring (coil). the bottom spring bucket is actually attached to the strut. the 5100s have a metal washer that can be placed in a couple of different locations, giving you stock height,1", 2" or 2.5" of lift. the washer fits into grooves in the strut, then the spring bucket sits on that washer. the higher up the strut you place the washer, the more lift you get. its similar to adding a spacer, as it puts more tension on your coils thus forcing the front of your truck up.
as far as installing them. just rent a strut spring compressor from autozone. take the strut/coil out as one unit, compress the spring, take the retainer off. take the spring off and put it onto the new 5100 strut, put the washer onto the groove corresponding to how much lift you want. compress the spring, put the upper retainer on. install the strut/spring back into the truck, and get an alignment. can be done in just a couple hours with 2 guys, jack/jack stands, spring compressor, and a couple beers.

they are pretty reasonable actually. YOu can find the front set for around 200.00 shipped. Most of the spacer lifts are 80-100 and wear ball joints out rapidly, or you decide to go with longer shocks eventually.
In the end, It seems like the best choice. i have a set of 2" spacers I'll sell to someone cheap. I bought them and then decided to go this direction. they haven't been installed yet.

These are the fronts. I don't know anything about this website and I bought them from Moe's Performance. I actually paid a couple bucks more but Moe's came recommended.

the rear shocks will NOT lift your truck they are just long enough if you do have a lift. The fronts will lift more than 2" according to the specs. Get air bags, or a 1" lift block for the rear if you want to rais it, but 35's will fit the rear with stock height according to dudes on here

So I was partially right haha
I am interested to hear how you like them. I will be installing some on a new Tundra and Tacoma soon. I'm working on doing a new Silverado too.
Bilstein is really coming through with the options here.
It is a pretty good deal if you consider it like mentioned above. You're looking at $100 for spacers. These run a little more than $200, but you're getting the lift and the GREAT ride of a Bilstein 5100 shock.
