Default Sport bumper installation

Question to those who have installed a sport bumper on a ST/SXT. Does it simply cover the existing chrome bumper and/or what else is needed to complete the install?

I would think it completely replaces the chrome bumper. You can buy covers though that make it look like you never had the chrome one. I think raiderjay has one. Go here

Thanks,
That's an aftermarket design. I am looking for the OEM "Sport" style, not srt. His does just fit over the bumper, which would make life really easy.
Thanks,

no, its not just the bumper cover, you have to get the cover, and the actual metal bumper behind it. it is a different shape than the chrome one.

Now that's what I wanted hear! Trimming I can do. So you are saying I can mount a sport replacement bumper over my chrome bumper with a little trimming. You wouldn't know where I might find a picture of this, do you? I haven't gone to the paint shop yet but it won't be very long before I do. I would like to get it all out of the way with one trip.
Thanks,

I'm putting a sport on next week. It takes new brackets, rebar (aka the new bumper) and the cover. I got a steal of a deal on mine and the paint is costing me next to nothing.

Trimming to put it over the chrome would be an alright idea but I would think it might have some spots that rub that might lead to headaches later?
