DIY Brakes?
yeah 48k for me and my pads are about at half, which is good because I am going to Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads when these are due and I don't have the extra $ for that sh*t right now. Too many damn projects going on...
Actually AF_Hemi, I haven't responded because I have been working all day; try working 60 hours a week, 3 overnights, and going to college full time..
My anger and frustration strictly derives from the underlying animosity and condescension that I am constantly enduring on this forum. Hammer, your absolutely right, this forum is not meant to be a shoulder to cry on, however, it goes both ways. If I ask for factual information I don't need all of the in between rhetoric. I'm tired of members comparing one's ability to "do it themselves" on their vehicles to an individuals work ethic or intelligence; there hardly lays a common ground between the two. We aren't comparing apples to apples. I work my *** off every week for the family business and I also go to school fulltime; I have always applied immense work ethic to my life. I don't have time to be experimenting on my truck risking it being held up for any longer than a day at a time. If I don't have a mobile vehile, then I DON'T GET PAID. The answer weedahoe provided was the response I was looking for; straight forward and without the b/s. I understand I won't get along with everybody on this thread, and that's OKAY, that's how life works. BUT, if we're going to establish what the use of a mechanical forum is for, lets at least practice the same set of standards for all parties. People with questions ASK the questions and people with answers GIVE the answers. Now that is an ideal forum to me.

How many miles do you have on your 07 ram linerjoe? i have an 06 with 55k and the factory installed pads on mine seem like they look about halfway used up on both sides. I honestly dont know what mileage a normal brake change would be. I just keep an eye on them at every other oil change when i rotate my tires.
I still get some pedal pulsing, so I'm not 100% the rotors really needed to be replaced, but they are done for now. I probably won't even drive the truck until Friday, since it looks like a nice week for the motorcycle until then.
