Default More Headlight questions

I just purchased my first pickup. It's a 2004 Ram 2500. One of the headlight lenses is badly fogged and can't be reconditioned. I was thinking about replacing it with an after market one I found for about $40. Does anyone know if this will match my OEM headlight in looks and performance? I don't want to be able to tell it I look at my truck head on. Also this vehicle has the dimmest headlights I have ever seem. I'm assuming the bulbs are original. Will just replacing them with Silver Star Ultra brighten things up?

Thanks,

Steve

You should get the black headlight housings off of Ebay for about $100. Not only will it replace both lights to match perfectly but they'll look better on any colored truck

I would buy an OEM used one off craigsilst or Ebay so it has a little wear on the surface like your other one does and it will match perfectly. Plan on spending ~$40-60 shipped for one. I'd rather buy a used OEM than a new aftermarket.

I agree black housing looks much better. I've never seen them with the clear turn signal lenses like these ones though, do the cops give you issues with them since they aren't amber?

Some of those lights are advertised as being JDM... Is there really a Japanese Domestic Market for Dodge Rams?

I looked at the black Headlights but personally didn't like the way they looked. They are available on Ebay with yellow or silver reflectors from different vendors. My truck is black and I like chrome so the OEM style fit my taste. I like the used OEM suggestion but decided to go with an aftermarket set. I chose Eagle Eye from 1A Auto. They were $40 more a pair but came with a 3 year warranty and 100% satisfaction guarantee. I just put them on and they look identical to OEM except for some embossed words on the plastic lens is in a slightly different place. I purchase a set of Silver Star Ultra 4000K lamps to go with them. Here is a photo showing how much whiter they are compared to the fog lamps. Now I would like to locate new fog lamps to match.
