Anyone tried the new programmer yet? I'm curious how it does on the Hemi.

 

Same here....I want to know how many points it gains on mpg. Then, figure out how many miles to travel until I get my money out of it [&:]

 

I didnt even know that it was out yet. Ther is another post talking about a programer coming out this summer I think. I wonder at how much extra it actually gives. I would do it just to get rid of that management that doesnt let me smoke the back tires out. Of course that might then cost me more in new tires than the programer[:@]. That I am sure, is bound to destroy my warranty. Sice I have the extended warranty, I may have to hold off for a while

I went out to 4wheelfarts truck fest here in Dallas and they had all sorts of reps there. Anyhow, I talked to the rep w/ Hypertech and when asked about gaining points in mpg, he quoted "I ain't going to promise you it'll get more, but I can promise you it won't be worse." He even had the stats from the dyno on the back of the brochure but I lost it.

 

The other post said they talked to Hypertech and they said Dodge pretty much tweaked out the computer, so not to expect too much from a programmer. Kinda depressing.

 

for what its worth, Hypertech is one, Superchip is the other... I have spoken to Superchip only, and they said it will be out sometime in July.... also said its a great improvement from the 03 model.... BUT, we will have to wait and see what they say when it comes out... thats all I know, sorry............GUIDO

 

I really believe these programmer companies are getting tired of trying to break the code to make the improvements. It's a tough decision to make for me if you gotta pay $400 + for 20 HP.

 

One of you guys that has access to these companies ask them WTF is up with no programmer for the '04 4.7L Rams. I am gonna be purchasing a programmer for my '01 5.9L but I really wanna tweak the '04 a little.
