I know this is a very common question but im new to the forums.

should i super chip my 02 5.9? has anybody used SC, DS, or Bully Dog?
and is it WORTH IT?

I've been debating for a LONG time!

all i have is a custom intake.

 

I have read that the sc gives big gains on the 5.9 gasser.

 

Their advertisement boasts like 50hp but I don't believe in that much of a gain, maybe 20-30 at best?

 

from doing 1.7 harland sharps,cai,fastman,msd,longtubes on!! superchips gave me the best gain ! it really bumps up the air/fuel ratio for the power and it seems to help with powerband evreywhere. it feels strong off the line.

also if you have your computer flashed by dodge "check PCM for for software update". if its there its been flashed which dodge retard timing and kills your MPG and performance.

its def the best mod for my 5.9 . but i added it with the other mods which prob made those mods stronger.

91 tune is really good i run regular 87 gas and doesnt ping runs good!

SCT is better but more exspensive , sct removes torque management and makes custum tune where superchips is a can tune.

 

I am running a superchips with a 5.9 and I believe the HP gains they list!! Definately one of the best performance mods to date!!!
