More new paint (airbrushing) or Turbo?
Yeah he has a Hemi. I dunno I think Dog is on to something here. Pull the motor go with a semi aggressive cam some heads intake and supporting mods. Run a full LT back exhaust and get it tuned. It would make the most sense for the least dollar value. If you do go turbo I would definitely not run sts especially if you plan on DD`ing this thing in the winter. Think about how long cold oil will take to be pumped by a tiny *** pump from the front of the truck to the back of the truck when its 35 or 40 below. Sounds like an easy way to kill a turbo IMO. If it were my money I would keep it natural just open up the flow. Why doesn`t anyone make a positive displacement blower that would be the ultimate solution for us hemi guys.
Thanks for al the input guys! Yea it is a hemi.
I don't mean I'll DD it after the turbos. I spoke to KRC today and they've kind of talked me out of twins into a single 76mm turbo. Reason being that twins will spool at partial throttle causing th a/f ratio to go for **** and just downright being annoying.
As for supporting mods I'm looking at doing some forged internals (diamond pistons which will also drop compression to 8.5),a 6.1 cam (anything more aggressive has too much overlap) and heads as well as long tubes. So the turbo won't be right away but there will be a fairly extensive build happening in the very near future.
