Default Alternator Help

My truck is in autozone parking lot for the night.. i will be goin back in the am to change the alternator. i cant seem to find a repair manual on how to remove it. any tips or suggestions that might save me some headaches tomorrow?

you could buy a haynes manual while your there. Other than that, I'm not sure about the layout of the 5.9 engine. I'd also search or check with the 2nd gen section on what to do. Good luck!

IDK about the 5.9 but on the 5.7 (03+) you remove the two bolts and the electrical plugs. Then gently pry up on it to free it up as it is tightly wedged in place. You get it back in I use a rubber hammer and a piece of wood to tap it in place and bolts it back down.

Maybe yours is the same?
