Default Couple Tranny Questions

I was has anybody installed a
SharaDon Performance 45RFE & 545RFE VALVE BODY STAGE-II shift kit to their truck? Also, is this a good mod to do to the transmission. Will the stock clutches and stuff be fine?

Also, is there any benefits in installing a Engine Oil Cooler? I know driving to and from work my Oil Temp usually gets around 170 degrees.

lots of guys on the other forums have done it. Definitely a major improvement in shifts. Yes, your stock clutches will be fine...for a while anyway.

I think this would be an exceptionally good mod for a truck with a stall that is higher than stock. The softer the converter less shock is felt from the shifts.

John, this is what I wanted to hear. Do you think the Stage III would work for street driving with a converter? Any advantage to using a Stage III? Or is stage II what you recommend?

i have heard from other people, and sharadon also told me, the stage III is downright harsh shifting. recommended if you go to the track frequently. but for me, as my DD and my tow rig, stage II is perfect.
