Unless you plan to do a cam, heads or any other MAJOR engine mods, you'll never need a custom tune and spending high $ for one would be a waste of money.

A "canned tune" tuner, be it SC or DSP (who DOES support your year for the tranny) would be a fantastic mod...
See with mine, I had a ton of KR with out messing with the tune and was running way to lean. WOT AFR was around 13.7 +/-, ended up having to add about 6% more fuel for 1k-3800k and 1% for the rest in order to get it to not log anymore KR and run a clean 12.4 AFR

How would he or I know if this is ready to go or not.
Thanks

If the truck he tuned last with it has been returned to stock it has been unlocked and can be used on yours.

Well I did purchase that tuner from the classifieds. He sent me some pictures of the display and it says Returned to Stock. So that is on the way. I was also looking at a leveling kit I was thinking about this one.

Ok so I got the tuner in the mail on saturday. I first ran an update and got that all taken care of. I installed in on performance tune and WOW. What a difference it made. I now need some help with the programming it. I have read what others have put theres at but I figured I would ask. Once again its an 06 hemi cold air and exhaust. What should I put the settings at. I want more power but im also not gonna drive it hard all the time. This is my everyday driver so I dont wanna hurt her. Is it possible to have it on 91 octane and get better mileage too? I usually put 87 in it should I just go with that tune? Or will the price be equal if I go with the 91. Once again any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Aaron

Yes , stop using 87 octane your gonna get detonation which will ruin your everyday ride!!!You can set the peramiters too moderate, and that will be just what you need. Shift patterns on the tranny i'd up an rpm or three. As for the other stuff. Your not heading to the drag strip so leave it be, and there is no need for a higher oct fuel imo. However get a premium fuel, no citgo,or valero crap, you want shell or sunoco. That stuff will make a difference. (that you will notice)
