Default Transmission is leaking

Got a call today saying that my transmission is leaking. I haven't been able to do extensive research yet so I'm asking you guys what are the most common reasons for the 545 to leak? I'm hoping its a seal or something since I really, really do not want to buy a new tranny.

could just be the rtv breaking down. The shop should be able to tell you the why and where the leak is. Before I changed mine last month, I had a small leak in the corner of the pan and it was due to the RTV not sealed up enough.

Oh, and thats also why I went with a gasket this time. The 45rfe gasket fits perfectly on the 545 pan. If your pan is aluminum then I'd stuck with the rtv though.
