Default Blend Door Again

As in broke again. This will be the third one in 4 years. First 2 were under warranty. Got a feeling the dealer is going to get an earful, before i pay to get this one fixed.

Unfortunately I don't remember the website but there is someone out there who sells metal ones instead of the OEM plastic, they claim that they wont break.

Dunno if they make it for the Ram, but the blends in my Grand Cherokee went and I spent an entire weekend replacing them! Honestly, I can see why the dealer gets upwards of a grand for the labor. When (not if) they go out again, there is a guy on ebay sells the "heater treater" for the GC for around $100. The kicker here is you only have to pull out the glove box to install. Supposed to take under an hour! I am going to go that route!

The only downside to it is if you have it, you lose dual climate control, everything is controlled by one of the *****, I think it's the drivers side.

Do a search on ebay for it and give the guy a holler...

Have seen where it might be possible to go through the glove box to get to the recir. door to remove it. If that is possible, I try it. I really don't care if I can't recir. the air.

Default Recirculation Door Repair

I repaired my broken recir door. I wrote out detailed instructions on a "New Reply" but it got lost in cyberspace. If you want to know how, I'll re-write it and save it in MS Word before posting.
