why ruin a good truck with a crappy motor. i love diesels but every person i know that owns a ford have had major problems with them. i love the new looks but there engines and some other things have problems. honestly all the new diesels have their problems. in my opinion you cant beat a good 5.9 and if u want some extreme reliability and simplicity a 12 valve is the way to go. buddy got onee with 170,xxx stock turned up the fuel pump and put a new ful plate on and 5 inch straight pipe with a stack. and on the dyno it mayed 350 hp and 800 ft. lbs. of torque. hes also done quite a bit as far as appearence and boy dose that thing poor some smoke

The Ford HDs look really good. My buddy is a mechanic and has a shop. He says the Powerstroke keeps him in business....lots of problems for some reason....but there are a crap load of them out there.....But on the other hand, there are tons of Cummins out there as well, and they don't have near the issues the Powerstrokes do.

to fords credit, the majority of trucks that we see are from gas well companies and them boys can sure tear up a truck. i guess they say wth since its on someone elses dime. but we've recently totaled out 7 trucks. two fords, four chevys and one dodge. all diesels but the fords were the only ones due to mechanical failure . alot of major repairs we do are egr cooler related on them fords. ive heard a rumor that dodge is soon to drop the cummins, i havent looked into it but does anyone know if there is any merit to it?

Get that motor out of there before it causes your truck to crap out from being disgusted by carrying ford junk

its been talked about, but it'll most likely not come to fruition. cummins doesnt need dodge, but dodge needs cummins. Im sure dodge will do whatever it can to hang on
