Default New Mods!

Just got K&N CAI and SI/SO Magnaflow 16850 exhaust. This is a pretty mean setup. It sounds perfect, not too loud, no drone. Slight rumble at idle, it really rocks at WOT, and I can really feel the power improvement, and I am getting a little better MPG's when I can keep my foot off the WOT! Nice

Gotta get some sound clips buddy . Cant tell us how badass your setup is and leave us hanging! lol, glad you like it man. First thing to do with these trucks is get rid of the POS exhaust. Do you have MDS disabled and what engine you got?

good to hear I was going to have a magnaflow system installed in a few days but I'm getting the SI/DO rear exit. How much did the exhaust cost?

I got mine installed for 699$. I talked to a few mechanics and reps, they ALL said that the duals are kindof a waste. just for show, unless you have an absolutely tricked out to the max engine. You will get more torque and horse and higher MPG from the SI/SO. I love it. Sounds pretty mean. I will put up a clip prob tomorrow. you can hear the rumble at start up, then it kind of quiets down at idle, but as soon as you open'er up, its a beast! Another thing I noticed was that its quick to take you up to a higher RPM, but its even quicker to drop down as soon as you take your foot off the gas. I use cruise control a bunch, and got like 13 mpg city (cruise set at 35-40) and now Im getting 17.

If you have the mega cab it wont be a 5.7 with MDS, i was told the 1500 MC is on a 2500 chassis, which doesnt come with MDS since the increase in weight, ect ect. so no point in the MDS (says the dodge salesmen)

Correct, 1500 Megas do not have MDS just like the 2500 QC's

I dont understand why SI/SO would give you more gains, I thought the faster the exhaust left your vehicle the better. 2 pipes would let the exhaust flow better right or wrong?

$699 for install is outrageous.

Right, if, and only if you have enough air intake to match that. You have to be able to pull enough air in to be able to match the air out of the exhaust, otherwise you lose your ever so important backpressure for torque.
