Well yeah, but lower under hood temps mean lower intake temps, result in more power. My best trip mpg has been 16.8 mpg... after the hood I took a trip down to louisianna for a cruise about a month ago, ended up getting 18.3 mpg, with the new hood and after I took the top off my volant so it could breathe more of the engine compartment air. Seriously! I got like 460+ miles out of the tank. And with my state-of-the-art "seat-of-the-pants dyno", lol, I think it's got a little more Oomph. No confirmed numbers or anything yet. Ill take it back to the dyno next month. That **** looks badass though bullet! For sho!

lol Yeah I think volant makes a scoop adapter that connects to the top of the volant intake, but Ive heard bad things about it not fitting correctly and stuff. Plus its made for a regular srt-ram hood scoop. This venom hood scoop is bigger so it definately wont fit. I'm not worried about an intake though, with the mods I have planned.

the SRT scoop is NOT designed for an intake. the companies that make them into a functional scoop are making a ton of money off the people that think it is. its function is to allow heat to escape. put it in a wind chamber and you'll see the air flows right over it and creates a negative pressure, pulling heat out of the hood.

The venom is a different story since its a substantially taller scoop.
