Im gonna call up Andre on Mon morning. i know for sure he can get me a VB to at least borrow. Heck, 4 weeks ago, he offered to get me the solenoid pack the next day, and get sharadon to send him one as a replacement. but sharadon said no no no, well have one there to him in like 3 days. HA

im really surprised that the sharadon guys havent responded to the thread over on DT. they are usually pretty active over there. and some of the other guys over there have said it might be a TC issue. i doubt it myself, but ill have andre take it for another spin. i know for sure if it is a TC problem, he will do whatever it takes to get me taken care of right, the first time.

 

dang dude, I would not be abel to drive the truck like that. It would bother me too much knowing that I spent so much and the **** and working right.

Hey just an idea but maybe your Torque Converter was bad, even tho they said it wasn't Just a thought. I don't know the first thing about trannys so I am just throwing it up there.

 

well, I did do some searching and it seems that some of the 09+ guys are having a problem with shudder as well with the Diablo tuning. They reported no shudder on factory tune and shudder on Diablo's tune so maybe it's all within the tuning?

Could it possibly be that you have a 2500 that weighs more and therefore needs to be tweaked differently?
I'm throwing ideas all over here so take them lightly...lol

 

i was having this problem even before i put the DSP back on the truck. will be getting a superchips soon though.

 

My 02 cents is the TC is actually softening the shudder. If you had a stock TC with a lower stall the shudder would be more pronounced. Hopefully when you change the VB it'll give you the answer . Good luck...

 

I dont know about that VA - I have heard cases where the TC doesn't lock up and starts slipping causing some bad shuddering, so it could still be a possibility, not saying for sure that it is but it could be a possibility. I need to go back and find the site but there is a performance trans company out there that offers a 1yr warranty for there trans and they dont care how much hp you throw at it... although all of their stuff is quite a bit more expensive than the sharadon stuff is.

And DirtyDog, I doubt his issues are with the DSP, with his being an 04 it shouldn't be doing anything to the tuning in the trans. I know that with some 04's it will read a TCM calid but thats as far as it goes.

 

Truckin, I have heard of that happening with the lockup clutch chattering, but this is during the gear change. However, I would be interested in learning more about it. Lets hope a VB replacement will solve John's problem. I know, no one wants to have the problems he has had.

I can't believe that after the coin you dropped on that tranny that they are not coming through for you and continuing to help you through this situation. Sharadon has always had a good rep, so this is very surprising and sad to hear that they are kind of leaving you hanging by not sending you what they said they would send you.
