I am looking into putting some fog lights behind the grill. I've been reading other posts of people doing that but it seems that most people customize a bracket then place the lights onto that. Has anyone added the lights without making some kind of bracket? If so how. Pics would be great if possible. Thanks

For behind the grill most of us just use that little crossmember in front of the rad to mount em. Just drill two holes and bolt and wire em up.

Are you adding anykind of bracket to angle them down at all or are the lights hitting the road pretty even?

if you use hellas which alot of guys do, youll have to moddify the bottom of the light to get the light beam out fo the trees if you mount it on the crossmember.

I had a set there and they were ok but i have 4 now and designed my own light bar for behind the grille so that the lights are perfectly centered between all the grill crossmemebers. took me about 6hours to get it right but it allows the maximum light to go through the grille.

The hella's don't quite angle down far enough mounting them on the crossmember, but all you have to do is some dremeling on the bottom plastic of the lights to make it face more downward.

I mounted mine to the cross member and am able to aim them where ever. Mine are Pilot brand.
