Default dodge ram hid flashing

i have an 06 ram 1500 with halo projector headlights. i just bought hid kits for them. all they did was flash a few times then go out. i researched and found i needed some resistors so i ordered them and installed them but there was no change. if anyone knows what i need to do i would love to know. its starting to get pretty annoying. thanks

did you get the 35w kit or the 55w kit? What resistors did you buy? How did you wire them in? Thats why I went with a complete plug and play kit that included plug and play resistors. You could contact our vendor here and see if she'll sell you the plug and play resistors. They work great on my 35w kit I got from them.

As said and asked, you need specific resistors to trick the PCMnto thinking filament type halogen bulbs are still there and not gas filled HID bulbs

my system is the plug and play system also. the resistors are the ones that just plug right into the system between the ballast and stock harness. i have a buddy that has them in his stock dodge headlights and we plugged mine into his truck and it worked fine. and they are the 35w kits

When you plugged the resistors in, did you check polarity? I know they will only work if polarity is correct. If they still dont work, then I'm not sure. When you tried them on your friends truck, did you install the whole setup on his truck with the ballast and resistors? What year was his truck? Seems odd that the same hardware will work on his truck but not yours.

i checked polarity. it was right. and we just tried the resisors on his 04 or 05. i can hook mine up to my parking lights and it works so i know its not any of the hid hardware. but the resistors dont make the flashing stop when its all plugged into the headlight harness

Resistors do not care about polarity. But do measure the resistance of your resistors and let us know what they read. Or look on them and see if they are marked.
