Rear diff seal and tierod ends
Good post about the Pinion nut wrt putting it back on (counted the threads is the way I went too) by Dog but. I did review the Dealer Shop manual and they talked about recording the torque required to turn the nut....etc. Anyhow its been 15 months and no diff probs, but am not pleased with the seal although not leaking it has shown slight sign of dampened fluid dust around the area where the seal edges meet the housing I will clean next time I recoat the housing with black paint.
If you do it yourself (say in the driveway), You may need alot of leverage to snap the nut if it's anything like mine was. I had to use a 3/4 in drive ratchet with Bar and reducer down to 1/2 drive for the large socket and lots of Power to snap it. But I did it in February at -20 and with the Ice and snow I had crappy Traction working underthere.
