Default gears

well im new here so far looks like a good site

i just got these gears for my truck but they have a chip on them will it affected in anyway

i would definitely return it if at all possible. i surely wouldnt want to be running that in my diff.

well there were my friends but he had them in the garage with out a use so cant return them but i didt put them cuz i didt know if it would affected i think i will just order some new ones then thanx

It looks like it just misses the gear contact area. If it is a 4:56 gear, is it possible that is the grind they do for clearence when installing the center pin. I haven't actually seen what the grinding mod looks like,. But I understand you have the grind either the ring gear or the pin itself. Just thinking out loud.

yea there 4.56 and thats what my friend told me that they have to grind so it could go in but wasnt so sure... anymore info you all have on that

he had it install on his dodge but took them off when he solded
