Does anyone have nitrous on their 5.7 HEMI, I've been doing some research and need help determining weather to buy a wet or dry system.

Any help is appreciated!

Hey neighbor, what other mods are on your truck? What's your experience with n2o in the past? Theres a few people on here that run the nitrous that should help you out but you'll need to be prepared to do some beefing up if you want to make sure you dont start breaking stuff.

I dont have any mods yet... I did intake and exhaust and thats about it. I have a friend that just did their 2010 Yukon, they used a dry NOS system and their truck is completely stock.

I dont want theNOS hooked up to my computer I want to be able to push a button and use it... and I wanted to do the dual purge kit with LED on a seperate button.

Where is King Co are u from?

My only issue with goin dry is the fact that you are relying on your injectors to over work themselves. If they don't perform optimally, you can cook a piston.
Wet kits tie into the fuel rail and therefore no injector reliance is needed...additional solonoid does all that.
I have had experience with both Zex and Nitrous Express(NX). The iceman solonoids from NX are by far the best one's. Very consistent and produce the best numbers, but consistency is key.
I don't know what you have planned on spending but if you think you are gonna walk up with $400 and have your ride squared away...think again. N20 is not as cheap as people think it is. To have a proper set-up, you need to spend $1,000.

You need a bottle heater to keep the bottle up to temp. Ambient temp is not good enough unless you have the bottle in direct Arizona sunlight and even then...One run and your bottle is ice cold and no way to heat it back up. FYI..my bottle heater took on average 5-8min to fully warm up the bottle and around 13-15 minutes between runs. No way an unwarmed bottle will be very reliable. You will actually loose performance because the n20 will be frozen practically while your injectors are racing all that un needed gas into your cylinders.

DO some online research regarding what you need and how it's all done, because I have a feling you think you can spens a few hundred for a BASIC kit that will likely cost you an engine in the near future. Happens all the time. Companies sell basic kits..bare bones and guys think that's all they need.

What system do you use on your? I have dome quite i bit of research on line and your right weather its wet or dry it is about $1,000. I have been leaning towards ZEX 82178 it's the wet HEMI Truck System.

I did a simple nitrous hookup on my VW, it's a turbo show car and it was fairly easy to hook up since I only have it cooling the inner-cooler, o way of hurting the engine doing that and it only gived me about 35hp more...

Just want to make sure I get the right kit for my truck...

Thanks for the advice

the best person on here that would be the most helpful is Horseapples. He's beein running it on his truck for awhile. I'd recommend PMin him for advice. I'm down in Renton but I've done a lot of work in Mill Creek.
